Slumdog Millionaire

13. In the final scene, we see Salim and the choice he makes - filling the bathtub with money, etc. Why does he
make this choice?
I think it was for 2 principal reasons: number one is because his greed for money made him dive into the bathtub protecting his money, the thing he loved most.
Number two is because he wanted to surprise the ones following him, so he dived and waited for them to open the door, but there where more than one.

14. This film weaves together nightmare and impossible dream. What do you take away as the most
important message or impression from the film?
I think the message that the movie tried to give is that life is about winning and loosing, life takes away things to give you other things, in the street it is hard to live but you have to get over it or you simply die, it is necessary o learn from your mistakes.

  1. 13. I think that he did this, because the thing he cared more for, was money, for this he gave this life to get it. And also i think that he wanted to die with what he cared more all this life.

    14. I think that the principle message of this film, is that life teaches you things, and life isnt easy, but most of all, that if you want something you have to fight for it.

  2. well because, his goal in life was gettin money, we could see it since when he was really really young, when he sold the autograph which was given to Jamal by his idol. That as far as a goal seem to you to reach, if you work it, you get it. Lucky ones who do!

  3. I think he(Salim) did this because he wanted to show the mob guy he disrespect him and he always did, by just being in the bath with all his money. And he said: ''God is great'' because he had the feeling that his brother would one the 20 million dollars.
