Slumdog Millionaire

Number 3.
In the film, the theme of destiny is a central theme. What
does it mean that all Jamal desires is just out of his reach?
The way I see that, is that he likes the things that are difficult and always being a perseverant person will take you anywhere.

Number 10.
In one pivotal scene, the show’s host tells Jamal his own story about coming from the slums. He then gives Jamal the wrong answer written on the mirror in the rest room. Why did he give Jamal the wrong answer? What did Jamal do?
Jamal didn't do anything wrong, but the show's host didn't want him to be as famous as he was.

Numer 11.
Describe how loss, chance luck, suffering, and street smarts are also characters behind the scenes,. The film explores gain and loss side by side. Triumphs are tempered with loss. Where do you see this evident?
In every question that was asked to Jamal was evident because he could lose all what he had, but he was always correct.

  2. 3. On that question, I think that Jamal wanted what he had to fight to achieve, and he was a very deterimed and strong person, so he did accomplished what he wanted, because he fought for it.

    10. I think Jamal didn't belived the host, because he wanted Jamal out of the show, and I also think he gave him the wrong answer because he didnt wanted Jamal to be as famous as he was.

    11. On the movie, everything was based on this, the luck, the suffering loss and the gain, but because he loss something, he would put effort to gain it.

  3. 8.The game show format brings into to focus the culture of meaningless competition. What does the spectacle of the game say about what people value today? What values does the media promote? Are they humanizing values?
-Well I think they are showing no value for that people, because it seems like if they were using them.
-No because it not valorates humans, or that people, they see them as enterteinment.

4.Compare and contrast three pivotal choices or decisions made by Jamal and Salim. How do their choices affect their respective paths in life or “destinies”?
*Jamal:-Fight for the girl she like.
-Being honest in what he do.
    -Work hard.
    *Salim:-Work for a gangster.
    -Left his brother.
-Choose to live in a bad way.
The choises that jamal get get him to have a hard way of life but at the end he have a happy ending, and salim all the choises or actions that he made guide him to death.

I think that that if things are difficult to jamal is because he is like very slow to think, he make things on a very monotonous way, i think that we could be wherever he wanted since a begining by not being so naive.
